Coppell

Located in the northwestern part of Dallas county in Texas, this lush green city is a suburb of Dallas and an affluent community in the Dallas-Fort Worth metro area. Rated as the third greenest city in the USA. It located just behind Sacramento, California and Ann Arbor, Michigan. Coppell is very near to DFW Airport. Many industries, companies, and businesses have their headquarters in this area, making this place a very attractive community for those seeking to buy their home in a developing city.
Compared to many other cities in Texas, Coppell is quite a young city but its history dated back to 1880. The earliest settlers were a farming community called ‘Grapevine Springs’ which is the location of Grapevine Springs Park of today. Apparently, it was here that Sam Houston signed the notable treaty with the Indian clan. Though the city was initially named “Gibbs” after a Lieutenant Governor, the residents chosen to rename it as “Coppell” after George Coppell, a prominent businessman who was in charge of many railroads of that time.
There are so many places of interest and excitement in and around Coppell. For nature enthusiasts, there are parks galore! Coppell Nature Park is a great getaway with well-marked trails for walking and biking. There is a small creek within the park and it is a perfect spot for birdwatching. Riverchase Golf Club has sprawling green course for avid golfers. The adventurous folk can have their fill (and thrill!) at the Trinity River Kayaking and the Urban Air Trampoline Park. There are many Spas in Coppell. The Grapevine Mall is a huge outlet multiplex in the community. Cici’s Pizza has its headquarters at Coppell and there are numerous TexMex and multi-cuisine eateries across the community.
Coppell has a subtropical climate. There is no dearth of activities, both indoor and outdoor, to be participated in. The famous Texas Dreams Gymnastics is located here and is headed by American gold medalist, Kim Zmeskal Burdette.
